ABC World News Tonight (5/18, story 9,) reported, “The Trump Administration has moved to cut off funds to family planning clinics that perform abortions or provide referrals for them.” This change is expected to impact “some $260 million of Title X family planning funds,” and Planned Parenthood in particular.

On its front page, the Washington Post  (5/18, A1, Cha, Eilperin) reported that the Administration wants “to bar clinics that provide abortion services or referrals from receiving federal family-planning funds, a move that would deprive Planned Parenthood and other women’s health centers of millions of dollars a year.” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Friday that it “‘would ensure that taxpayers do not indirectly fund abortions.
